  Ok, 3 stars are because of the following: - it takes 20 minutes on a Uber from the city center (say Casco Viejo) - Uber will cost you USD7, vs the USD30 the taxis would normally ask (this does not goes against the stars though) - there is free internet inside the terminal Now, please note that it’s winter inside the terminal, bring a jacket. Wingo has a terrible policy that you need to print out your boarding pass. It costs 34 dollars to have them print it for you. If you can’t print but you have already checked in, then the rental car office will help you print for USD5 dollars. Make sure to check wether your destination’s country immigration needs proof of onward travel or not. If yes, then you’ll need to show that too, otherwise the airline would not allow you onboard. (we were flying into Colombia and wanted to proceed onwards to Equador via land hence we needed to rush to produce some sort of onward flight proof to be admitted on the plane)

  They have the worse security I have ever seen. They will take your $100 plus cologne or perfume without explanation. They will take manicure items that pose no danger to anyone. As well as your water. For those of us flying with DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis), we need to stay hydrated when we are flying in these cramped Airlines. It is as if they are collecting items to sell latter. I feel the security supervisor is very much in on it. He will refuse to speak with you about any mistreatment. I will now spend more to fly out of another airport, to avoid this airport. Plus the taxi to and from this airport will gauge you, "Gringo Bingo". Since you are out in the middle of no where, they pretty much get away with it. I feel the government backs this activity because they do nothing to stop this activity and the public bus does not go by the airport. Note how far you have to walk from the terminal at Toucaman Airport to catch a bus. Not convenient at all. When I was child, back in the 70's, flying was a welcome adventure, fun, and enjoyable. Today, I personally dread all airports and most of all, the greedy airlines who find every opportunity to gauge their customers. Both the airport and the airlines have found ways to add new meaning to stress to air travel.

  This has to be the worst airport I've ever been to. First, they line you up in front of a wall to check your bags for drugs using a dog. Every single one of the passengers is assumed to be a criminal here. Then, they try to rip you off by overcharging for a taxi to the city. It costs $30 and if there are more than 2 people, you pay extra! This is half the price for a flight from Colombia! What the actual hell? Your only other option is Uber, but here's a catch - no free wifi at the airport. And no information desk to ask for help. What do you do? You buy an overpriced cup of coffee to get wifi and then you order Uber. The price? $6. 5x cheaper than the quoted price from the "official" providers! Some seriously messed up pricing with this place. Stay away at any cost.

  The staff is horrible ! The security guy literally stole our liquids, which were way under 100ml. Nail polish, hand gel etc he said they contain chemicals. He let everybody alone but as soon as he saw our European faces he asked to open our bags. Then he started to just help himself and throw frenetically our stuff one by one in the big bin. Don't let him do that!! We could get some of the stuff back upon insisting but he was threatening to deny boarding although he has of course no right to do this. Inside the female toilet, a staff member was acting like a total perv trying to spy me through the holes. Be careful.
