Good variety of products. Fresh fruit and vegetables. Good quality meats and it also has a cafeteria that serves basic panamanian food and also good ice creams!

Great supermarket with many hard to find items that you won't find in other locations. Prices are a little higher than others stores. Meat section very nice and clean. Also have a nice wine selection.

For me Riba Smith is the best value place to shop for groceries and pretty decent produce. And I also prefer the location in Bella Vista

I am from Barbados, where you'd pay premium for food and groceries, so shopping in Panama is a dream, even at Riba Smith where the locals complain that the items are expensive. This is a supermarket chain that carries the best selection of foreign, local and regional food brands, imported products beer, liquors and even Mount Gay Barbados Rum! (the best rum in the world because of course, we invented rum :) ). This supermarket has a wide variety of fruit, vegetables, meat, a deli, bakery, restaurant, pharmacy and an excellent plant nursery at the back. I have found the staff to be helpful and pleasant, some with the usual local Panamanian attitude but hey...you're in Panama! Tip the bag packers as these kids truly rely on your tips to make a living (wages are extremely low in this country). Wednesdays are "no plastic bag" days where you are encouraged to bring your reusable bags or boxes or buy a bag to save the environment. Great idea. All in all, a good experience.
