Good spot, beers at good temperature. Recommending the pils. Right now is a bit tricky to get there and hang out outside due to the road construction. No food after midnight. Staff.demaning for tips.

Love their happy hour. Half off pints. 12pm to 6pm. Food is good. Area is nice to explore after a few beers.

La Rana Dorada was the first to bring micro-brewed beers to Panama and has since expanded to multiple locations throughout the city. While the other locations are brighter and more modern, you can't beat the original location in El Cangrejo. Before ordering, ensure they bring you a little boat with a small sample cup of each beer. It’s free! Pick your favorite and, if you’re there before 6 pm, enjoy a glass (or pitcher) at half price. The Rana Dorada is one of the highlights on the self-guided tour of the best Panamanian in Panama City I shared on my site, The Unconventional Route.

Great beer and delicious food. Moderately priced but they do have happy hour deal on weekdays. We tried blanche, pale ale and IPA, and all of them were great. The Cesar salad I had here is to die for; honestly, it's the best salad I had during 3-month travel in Central America. I wish we had tried pizza here, I heard it's delicious. Plus they have outdoor tables so you can bring your dog with you.

Food quality was a pleasant surprise here, I was expecting decent food but nothing really good, but here it turned to be a very good burger joint disguised as beer pub. Price feels a little too high at the beginning, but after actually eating it turns to be fair. Service is not their strongest feature, but is acceptable for Panamanian standards and doesn't harm the food experience. I tried the Classic burger here, a real classic with juicy patty, the right combination of vegetables, and thick fries; both the burger and the fries were among the best I've had, as I said surprising for a place that serves food mostly as a byproduct of their beer business
