::Excellent hospital! The care taken here is second to none. The staff is not all fully billingual but you will definitely get the best and latest in care here. Rooms are nice and staff is always helpful.

::Mi hospital favorito en Panama, muy buena atencion y relativamente rápida comparada a los demas. Tambien es muy moderno y cuenta con lo ultimo en tecnologia.

::We had a family members become seriously ill during our travel up the Panama Canal. We had him evacuated from our ship and taken to Punta Pacifica for his care, where he was placed in ICU for 5 days, due to septic shock. This hospital saved his life, and for that they get all of the credit. My primary concern regarding our experiences relates more to the fact that this hospital is rated as the #1 for "expats" and we chose this hospital in part because of the positive reputation it has for working with Western's when they are traveling abroad. Immediately after beginning treatment, cultural and language barrier became apparent. We are in Panama so we except most everyone will speak Spanish, but for a hospital that brands itself around treating expats, there were some communication challenges during our state. Additionally, during the overnight shift - there is only 1 translator for the entire hospital - so if you need assistance with a situation, you typically have to wait several hours for a translator to appear. Also, at least in the ward we were in, there seem to be either no or very few doctors who work at the hospital overnight. The nursing staff are mostly very good, but when events would occur overnight and there was no doctor on call, that was pretty terrifying. Again, the hospital receives all the credit for saving my family members's life, but based on the OVERALL experience, I don't think I would return here for care. I might try to Cleveland clinic instead, which is just down the street.

::The ER is terrible. It took them 1 hr to get my husband ready for an X-Ray and another hour just to get the X-Ray. No radiologists available to interpret it. Furthermore, they told us to go for the X-Rays the next day (I still don’t know why they couldn’t give them to us the same day – and you know traffic in Panama). So the next day we went for the X-Ray (before 4:30 because, of course, they’re only open till then) and it took them 30 min. just to get the X-Ray and asked us to go back the next day for the interpretation. Unfortunately we do not have their time. I don’t know why people say it’s a good hospital, it obviously isn’t. After they just told us to go see a specialist another day (who by the way, does not have availability until after two months!), we paid the bill quickly. When we came home we saw all kind of weird charges like “miscellaneous”, “blankets” and “equipment”. What kind of hospital is this?! Obviously no ethical standards. First and last time we go to this hospital. It’s very disappointing to see such bad service.
